Splinter Reeds

Splinter Reeds is explicitly dedicated to cutting-edge composition and collaborative work with composers. We are known as a paradigm-shifting ensemble that has reimagined what a modern reed quintet can sound like. The rehearsal was filmed at our Oakland studio and the intro video was filmed in the Redwood Forest. Members are: Kyle Bruckmann (oboe), Bill Kalinkos (clarinet), Nicki Roman (saxophone), Jeff Anderle (bass clarinet), Dana Jessen (bassoon).
